Launched in October 2024, Kaari Naari is a social initiative geared towards reducing barriers to access and employment for women in the textile and weaving industry in India, seeking to deploy a multipronged approach to help women from underserved communities in their professional journeys. In this vein, we are organizing an expert-led skills training program that will help women learn about the basics of weaving and textiles, and also reaching out to manufacturing companies in India to procure agreements for hiring the women who successfully graduate from our Skilling Program.
We believe that financial awareness and literacy an essential parts of business, thereby leading us to organize an expert-led session for students of underserved communities to help them learn about the basics of business planning. The session will touch on important topics such as financial literacy and diversity in the workplace with a special focus on the textile market of India. Lastly, we are curating a comprehensive white paper based on consumer behaviour in the textile market to help consumers become more conscious of the choices they make and to empower textile artists to enhance their skills and business.
